Objective, Mission, Vision, and Values of RTTD

Objective
The main objective of the Health Research and Technology Transfer Directorate (HRTTD) is to enhance the health of individuals and communities of the Sidama region, by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare system through evidence-based research, technology transfer, and capacity building. This includes setting the research agenda, reviewing and implementing research projects, disseminating findings, and fostering partnerships to address priority health challenges and support socio-economic development.

Mission
The mission of the RTTD is to contribute to the improvement of public health by conducting and promoting research on priority health issues, facilitating the translation and transfer of health technologies, and ensuring that research outputs inform policy, practice, and innovation. The directorate aims to serve as a bridge between research, policy, and practice, focusing on the generation, dissemination, and application of knowledge and technology for the benefit of the community.

Vision
To become the leading center of excellence in health research and technology transfer in Ethiopia and East Africa, recognized for generating impactful evidence, driving innovation, and improving public health outcomes
